HOW TO REACH

By Air:-
The city has a domestic airport of its own. Regular flights to connect Nagpur to important cities like: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. Several airlines operate flights to and from Nagpur.

By Road:-
Since the city is located almost at the heart of Indian landscape, an extensive network of roads link Nagpur to various cities in Maharashtra and all over India. Many important tourist destinations like Aurangabad (504kms), Khajuraho (546kms), Bhopal (352kms), Kanha (266) are connected to Nagpur by road.

By Rail:-
Nagpur has a railway station in the city. Central location of Nagpur has helped it to emerge as an important railway junction. Nagpur serves as the junction between South-Eastern and Central Railway lines. A number of important trains service the station. One can approach Nagpur from any part of the country.

 

WHAT TO SEE

Dhamma Chakra Stupa:-

Dhamma Chakra StupaDhamma Chakra Stupa, also known as Diksha Bhumi, is an important religious Buddhist monument located at Nagpur. It is at this place in 1956 Dr B R Ambedkar initiated the conversion of thousands of Dalit people to Buddhism. This day is celebrated as Ashok Vijaya Dashmi and on this day thousands of followers of Dr Ambedkar and Buddism join this place to offer floral tributes.The stupa is worth seeing due to its architectural beauty. It can accommodate more than 5,000 people. The stupa is made out of Dhaulpur sandstones, marbles and granites. The attractive dome has a height of 120 feet.

 

 

Ambazari Lake:-
