Located in Andhra Pradesh, Guntur is the largest city in the district and is the civil centre of the state. Mantralayam:-
Mantralayam is situated near the border of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh along the banks of River Tungabhadra, a chief tributary of River Cauvery. Mantralayam is considered as a holy place of ancient origin. According to legend, King Prahalada performed his yagnyas to Lord Rama in this region, during the Dwapara Yuga.
Rajahmundry:-
Rajahmundry has the distinction of being the cultural capital of Andhra Pradesh. It is claimed that the Telugu language originated in Rajahmundry. The poet, Nannaya, was responsible for coming up with the Telugu script, which transformed it into a language.
Srikalahasti:-
Srikalahasti is situated near Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh State. The name Srikalahasti is derived from ‘Sri’ (spider), ‘Kala’ (snake) and ‘Hasti’ (elephant). It is famous for its arts and crafts, especially for the manufactures of “Kalamkari” or temple clothes and hangings.
Srisailam:-
Located in the state of Andhra Pradesh of Kurnool district, Srisailam is an antique city resplendent with architectural marvels and cultural heritage of the yore. The city is located on the banks of River Krishna in Nallamala Hills. The town has frequent mentions in the old Hindu Puranas and the great epic Mahabharata.
Tirupati:-
The holy city of Tirupati draws tourists and religious pilgrims alike, who flock to the Ancient Lord Venkateswara Temple, known for its elabourate Dravidian style and gold-plated cupola. Prayers are offered daily at this popular temple, which sits high in the Tirumala hills. Several other temples dot the town, and the lush countryside contains numerous waterfalls.
Vijaywada:-
Located in the district of Krishna in Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada is the biggest city in the district as well as the 3rd biggest city of this state of southern India. Even famously called Bezawada, the city derived its name from Vijaya or Kanaka Durga, who is the presiding deity.
